Toby & Shannon
What can I say about Monachyle Mhor? Well if you're considering eloping to the highlands of Scotland then you have check out this special place. Oh, and if you pick here then please pick me to be your wedding photographer! Monachyle Mhor's pink house stands at the foot of a glen and is uniquely positioned between two lochs which opens up a whole host of different backgrounds without travelling far at all. You have Loch Doine with it's mountainous surroundings on one side and Loch Voil which is quite a still loch meaning you get stunning reflections of the landscape and sky sitting on the water.
Toby & Shannon brought their nearest and dearest up to the Scottish Highlands from down south to witness them tie the knot. They had a super chilled out morning with Shannon hanging out with the master of hair and make up Laura Gray whilst Toby got suited and booted before enjoying a rum in the bar. Toby & Shannon opted to walk down the "aisle" together so we did a thing called a "first look". Basically it's a way for the couple to see each other in their wedding attire for the first time. We picked a beautiful setting, Toby stood and waited then Shannon came up and tapped him on the shoulder. It's a great way to do if you've chosen to come down the aisle together too, you can see how it looks in the photos below.
So they lucked out and we were able to have an outdoor ceremony in the Scottish Highlands in January! They wandered on down to the spot between the two lochs where the family were seated and ready, The ceremony was full of humour, warmth and love and I highly recommend checking out Claire The Humanist for all your humanist needs! After the ceremony were did a few family snaps then ventured around the many epic spots around Monachyle Mhor. Massive kudos to Toby & Shannon for climbing up on the rock for those final shots!
