Glasgow Engine Works Wedding Photographer

Martin & Jenni

Glasgow University Chapel followed by The Glasgow Engine Works is a match made in wedding photographer heaven.  You've got the speculator timeless grandeur of the Glasgow University Chapel paired with the industrial vibes of the The Engine Works.  Oh, and both venues so happen to have amazing light which made this wedding photographer super excited.

This ceremony and reception combo was a perfect choice for Martin & Jenni.  Having studied at Glasgow University before moving to London, it was important to have somewhere meaningful for the ceremony and a space for a big party afterwards.

Getting Ready

They both got ready in their parents house in the West End of Glasgow which was ace as I could easily skip between bridal and groom prep.  It also made it easy to get the all important dog photos.

Wedding Ceremony:  Glasgow University Chapel

It was then onto the University Chapel for the humanist ceremony conducted by the awesome Nancy Braid.  The Glasgow University Chapel has one of the best bridal entrances in wedding land.  I love the way all the guests are seated on each side which meant they got a fabulous view of Jenni and Dad walking down the aisle.  The long aisle also means that I have plenty of time to photograph Jenni coming down the aisle and the reaction of Martin at the front.  The ceremony was full of personal touches including a touching song performed by Martin's cousin Frances Mooney.

Wedding Reception:  The Engine Works Glasgow

After the ceremony we took some family snaps before doing a quick couple shoot around the Hogwarts looking cloisters.  It was then onto the Engine Works for the party.  Jenni & Martin were welcomed by one of the best confetti tunnels I've seen.  It was then time for some yummy canapés by Regis Banqueting while Capella provided the afternoon tunes.

Meanwhile Natalie Dalziel Flowers had been working her magic on the dining room which looked incredible.  Onto speeches where actor Martin didn't disappoint with a super entertaining speech.  The night end with plenty of dancing including a very energetic ceilidh.

It went a little something like this...
